How Community Helped Ryan Furrer Break Into Tech

Roxy Rodbeck, Developer Community Manager at Torc invited me on to talk a bit about my journey after recently hitting my one-year anniversary in the industry.

I’ve been a bit of a yapper at times, and it always surprises me when people show up to listen! I suppose it also helps when you have friends that do cool things.

When Roxy texted me asking if I’d be down to chat about my first year in tech, how I got here, and everything else included in that I couldn’t say no.

Every time I talk about this kind of stuff I just hope someone, anyone, gets one thing out of it; Lately is the idea of connecting with others genuinely and authentically.
